Slavery is an issue that has plagued our country in the past and will continue to affect our life in the future. In the southern colonies, slavery was so widely used it became inconceivable for slave owners to perform the tasks of their slaves. For those who were mere bystanders slavery was viewed as immoral. In South Carolina, slavery was rapidly spread among plantations in the south. however, there were not just white owners. Unbelievably, there were black slave owners as well.
