The Bi-Lo Center, the largest enclosed arena that Greenville has ever had and the largest in South Carolina, was opened in 1998. Help from the Bi-Lo supermarket chain helped fund the money to build this $59 million structure. The arena is large enough to seat 16,000 people. It was built to take the place of the old Greenville Memorial Auditorium and is built on part of the old site. The Bi-Lo Center is the home of Greenville's hockey team, the Greenville Grrowl and Greenville's basketball team, the Greenville Groove. |
