Falls Cottage

Falls Cottage was originally named the Touchstone House after W.E. Touchstone who built the house in 1894. The house was used as a rental house until around 1918. The kitchen, which was separate from the house, has now disappeared. When the West End was turned into a motor mile, the Touchstone House turned into Curry's Gasoline Station in 1918 until it was abandoned. After many years of being abandoned the City of Greenville and the Carolina Foothills Garden Club purchased the land and renovated the cottage. In 1977 it was reopened as a meeting place for the Greenville Arts Guild and the Metropolitan Arts Center. Falls Cottage is now a restaurant called Cottage Cuisine.
