| Mrs.
Jackie Medlock attended Wright Elementary from 1967 to 1969.
Mrs. Medlock remembers many things about Wright Elementary
School. She remembers that
all assignments were copied from the board and the students did very
little bookwork. The
classes were smaller and all the students knew each other.
The school building was somewhat the same before renovations
began last year. She
remembers planting one of the oak trees that was out front for Arbor
Day. The school even had
the same playground equipment. The
school has been painted different colors over the years.
She remembers the school being painted a dull blue.
When she attended Wright Elementary School, students did not have
activities each day like the students do today.
Students would have activities such as 4H and music once a month.
The school did not have morning announcements, menus or
newsletters. The principal
of the school was Mr. Larry Dunlap.
