Memories as told by Mrs. Brenda Alewine Snipes - Interviewed
by: Lauren Trumbull
My first school days were as a very small child.
My mother, the teacher, carried me to school quite often.
I attended Mt. Bethel through the first half of 3rd
grade, with my mother as a teacher.
I thought I worked hard but I made B's.
We moved into our new school, Wright Elementary, mid year.
Here we had new desks, bathrooms, and green boards.
I had a new teacher, "Miss Edith". I also had many new friends because several schools had been
put together to make Wright's enrollment.
As a result of a new teacher, I was now an "A" student.
But, next year with my mother for a teacher, I was back to my
same A and B grades. Fifth
grade came and then sixth, I got A's again under other teachers.
